Play It Again Sports - Traverse City

It’s genuinely difficult for me to leave a low rating for Play It Again Sports in Traverse City. I’ve been a customer for many years and have always appreciated their mission of helping people get into recreational sports at a more affordable cost. Unfortunately, over the past year and a half I’ve noticed a significant decline in both customer service and service quality. Several interactions with staff this season felt dismissive or rushed. Earlier this winter when I asked how ski boots were organized by size, an employee responded by asking if I couldn’t read the size inside the boot and walked away. Another staff member who appeared to be a manager was helpful, but he was clearly stretched thin trying to assist multiple customers at once. I also had issues with ski servicing this season. When I brought my skis in for a full service (bindings, edging, and waxing), the process of checking them in took over 30 minutes because staff seemed unsure how the process worked. I was initially told to call daily to see if they were done, then later told someone would call me. After two weeks without hearing anything, I called and was told—quite irritably—that they had been ready for over

Very helpful and nice. Took the time to help me figure out how ice skate fit cause I’ve never worn them before. I love play it again and will always pick this place as my first stop for sports equipment

I was satisfied with this company. I live in Roscommon and had my brother-n-law pickup ice skates for me. I had an issue with the first pair I purchased. I called and let them know that I understand I purchased a used pair but they fell apart on the first use. The company didn't want me to be an unhappy customer. Wanted to make it right and they did! I can tell you my brother-in-law from Traverse City thought oh know he was going into the store this time and it was going to be a hassle. He said he started to explain and the guy put his hand up to stop him and said are you so and so. Because I had given his name he said yes. My point is he was amazed how understanding and easy it was for him. This company is amazing to work with I highly recommend it to all consumers.

Excellent service today! I got my husband’s skis and my snowboard waxed. I ended up buying new snowboard boots. The team was so helpful with helping me pick out the style and sizing I was wanting and even helped me bring all my items out to my car. Thanks!! Appreciate you guys going the extra mile

Very friendly and helpful staff! They all made great conversation with us while we were visiting and even helped us with finding the right sized skates. Prices were a little steeper than we thought they would be, but overall, a nice store.
